TURIN THE THEATRE ROYAL OPEN FOR PROTEST IS

here's the official announcement of the new initiative:

TURIN THE THEATRE ROYAL OPEN FOR PROTEST
Thursday, November 13 from 10am at 22:30

Workers of the Teatro Regio of Turin decided to open the doors of the theater to receive citizenship in a day of testing, a day in the protest against the cuts announced by the government will be transformed into an extraordinary day in which everyone to discover closely how the daily work at the Royal, including orchestra rehearsals and choir practice, mounting exhibitions and guided tours, tests and auditions music scene, activities for schools and technical preparations.
highlight of the concert event at 21 led by Maestro Gianandrea Noseda, who agreed to be close to workers in this very sensitive time, during which excerpts will be performed by Giuseppe Verdi, enduring symbol of freedom and ingenuity.
The idea of \u200b\u200b"Theatre opened in protest" was created by the representations of the Joint Union Regio di Torino (with the support of local unions) and immediately got the full availability of workers in relation to a whole new way to engage and participate to make the whole city is running the serious risk that culture. The music, in particular, is considered an asset by the government unnecessary and not a necessary ingredient to the quality of life, forgetting, for convenience, because the work is a cornerstone of Italian culture as well as a production value of prestige. If the Italian is not a dead language outside the national borders is because in all theaters of the world remains the indispensable and primary language, if the Italian musical institutions are acclaimed in the international tour is because our artistic figure remains a landmark recognized by all, while those who should defend and promote the Made in Italy seems to despise him down to a whim of a few. Please
Thursday, November 13 at the Teatro Regio in Turin to meet and talk directly to share experiences and opinions, because the death of opera not only mean fewer jobs in a city increasingly marked by the closures, but does mean the cancellation of a collective good and that, therefore, both our own and yours.
